Abay Bank S.C is a private commercial bank that provides full-fledged banking services to all economic sectors. The bank is seeking candidates who are interested and qualified for the following positions:

Position 1: Cashier

The cashier position requires a candidate with a BA Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or any business-related field of study, with two years of work experience in cash management. The cashier will be responsible for overseeing and checking all cash processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls standards and limits, arranging cash shipment, preparing and signing the daily cash book, and verifying cash in CROs’ boxes. The place of work is Addis Ababa Area.

Position 2: Market Research and Product Development Officer

The market research and product development officer position requires a candidate with a BA degree in Marketing, Management, Economics, or other related field of study, with a minimum of three years of work experience in market research and product development, market studies, market analysis. The officer will evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, process/compile data, provide analysis, and report on market demand and supply trends for key product lines of the banking sector. This person will also build and maintain databases on key indicators of the bank’s internal operation and external financial environment. The place of work is Head Office.

Position 3: Principal Interest-Free Banking Financing Analysis & Appraisal Officer

The principal interest-free banking financing analysis and appraisal officer position requires a candidate with a BA in Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field of study, with a minimum of six years of related work experience, of which two years must be at a senior officer level. Working in IFB area is preferable. The officer will undertake generic duties of the division (planning, budgeting, coaching, mentoring, supervision, and reporting), conduct independent financing analysis/appraisal, collect all required financing processing documents and information from customer relationship management team/branch, conduct customer financing risk rating/grading, follow up non-performing financing, and negotiate with customers to settle the arrears. The place of work is Head Office.

Position 4: Principal Interest-Free Banking CRM Officer

The principal interest-free banking CRM officer position requires a candidate with a BA in Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field of study, with a minimum of six years of related work experience, of which two years must be at a senior officer level. Working in IFB area is preferable. The officer will undertake generic duties of the division (planning, budgeting, coaching, mentoring, supervision, and reporting), identify customer needs, initiate financing, send files to financing analysts for further processing, communicate financing decisions, prepare financing contracts and documentation, register and document collateral, procure insurance policies, conduct business visits, consult potential and corporate IFB financing customers, support the branch on financing account maintenance, collection, reschedule, deferment, and up to final liquidation, manage IFB financing asset and logistic, and perform other activities assigned by the immediate supervisor. The place of work is Head Office.

Position 5: Principal Interest-Free Banking Operation Officer

The principal interest-free operation officer position requires a candidate with a BA in Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field of study, with a minimum of six years of related work experience, of which two years must be at a senior officer level. Working in IFB area is preferable. The officer will regularly assess key IFB resource opportunity areas, develop draft IFB resource mobilization strategy, guidelines/techniques, compile and share best practices/experiences, identify the performance/skill gap of performers, arrange the required training/education in collaboration with the Director-IFB, ensure segregation of accounts and funds of the IFB business, ensure proper consolidation at branch level, organize events like customer session and visit program, prepare IFB deposit performance report of districts/branches, and perform other activities assigned by the immediate supervisor. The place of work is Head Office.

The salary for each position is as per the bank’s salary scale.
