Job Summary

The Branch Manager Grade I will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the banking activities of a branch office. The jobholder will ensure that operating procedures, rules, and code of practices of the Bank as well as regulatory directives and country law are strictly adhered to by all staff. Additionally, the jobholder will coordinate the sales/business development efforts of the branch, lead customer service initiatives, and guide branch operational excellence. Preparing and submitting annual budgets, work plans, and activity and progress reports is also part of the job responsibilities. The jobholder should participate in various community activities and keep in close touch with the business community to promote the services offered by the Bank.

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field e.g., accounting, management, economics, business administration.
Experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience out of which One (1) year in supervisory post.

  • Strong leadership and skills to foster teamwork, develop and motivate staff, resolve conflicts as well as ability to provide direction to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and drive change initiatives in support of business strategies within the department/unit.

  • Ability to respond to basic client inquiries and instructions and the capability of advising and resolving most issues and requests.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office package.
  • Good command of Core Banking System and other In-house software.
  • Project management skills.
