USAID/Ethiopia Senior Logistics and Commodities Advisor Job Vacancy

USAID/Ethiopia is one of the Agency’s most extensive and intricate programs, with overall assistance totaling $2 billion in FY 2020. The Health Office manages approximately $205 million by 56 staff. To support the Government of Ethiopia’s effort to progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 and 3, USAID/Ethiopia seeks a Logistics and Commodities Adviser.

Position:

Senior Logistics and Commodities Advisor

Minimum Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field such as pharmacy or pharmacy-related field, pharmaceutical logistics and supply chain management, public health or related degree.
Work Experience: Eight years of progressively responsible professional level experience working in health or international development in a developing country setting, of which six years must be in direct management of activities for pharmaceutical and public health supply chain.
Language: English and Amharic at Level IV. Fluency in one other Ethiopian language is preferred.

Job Details:

Market Value: $99,908 to $129,878, equivalent to GS – 14. The final compensation will be negotiated based on the successful candidate’s salary history, work experience, and educational background. Salaries above the top of the pay range will not be entertained or negotiated.
Place of Performance: US Embassy, Entoto Road, Addis Ababa, with possible travel as stated in the Statement of Duties.
