Brief Job Description:

Assist in preparation of performance report

Ensure the prompt and courteous service extended to customers

Extend quality service per the bank’s policy and procedure on first come first served basis

Open ,block, freeze ,close account up on authorization

Handle Treasury bill and Government bond operation

Change account name and status upon approval

Authorize/approve transaction per the limit set by the bank from time to time

Provide transactions for treasury bills ,bonds and government borrowing

Approve assignment and cancellation of authorized signatories

Approve balance and signatory confirmation requests

Prepare various operational reports

Prepare various account schedules periodically

Handle costumer queries/complaints

Verify authorized signature s of account holders before authorizing the transactions

Handle other related tasks ,duties and responsibility as and when assigned by his /her supervisor

Job Requirements:

1st Degree or above in Management, Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Business Administration or Business Management, Marketing Management.

6/4/2 years of relevant experience for 1st degree, 2nd degree or PhD holder, respectively, Banking sector experience is preferable.

Position 2 : Senior Payment and Settlement Officer I

Job Description:

Brief Job Description:

Assist in preparing performance report

Process application for EATS membership

Prepare assessment report on participants readiness to join EATS

Follow up the smooth running of the EATS as per the system rules and procedure manual

Monitor participants settlements account positions during the day

regularly test the new services in EATS test environment before launch in the production system

Provide EATS

Assess ,review, analyze and report issues on the system, rules and propose areas for change

Follow up and report the collection of EATS service charges

Monitor /follow up the procedures of the participants for system upgrade /changes and produce report

Monitor the interfaces with the EATS

Primary point of contact for all system operation issues

Assess the EATS against internationally accepted principles

Maintain and update the risk register

Handle participants queries and complaints

Handle other related tasks as and when assigned

Position : 3 Senior Payment Systems Oversight and Development Officer I

Brief Job Description:

Assist in preparing performance report

Participate in preparing background papers, draft directives ,policies, guidelines rules and Periodic payment system report

Assist in preparing offsite surveillance report on the payment system

Participate in media monitoring on issues related to payments system and partisans and Produce report

Administer the directorate’s portal meant for data collection

Collect and compile payment system related data receive from financial institution and system operator

Assist in preparing various payment system related reports

Assess periodically systemically important payment system against internationally accepted principles and standards

Follow-up and update profiles of system participants, system operators and payment instrument issuers

process application for new and renewal of licensing and authorization of payment service providers,

Review system rulers ,agreements, etc of various payment service providers and provide recommendations

Conduct onsite and offsite oversight against payment systems and operators and prepare onsite and offsite reports

Assess regularly effectiveness of issued proclamation ,regulation ,directives, policies, guidelines, circulars

Propose , implement and follow up payment system developments initiatives

Handle system participants and payment service users complaints

Handle other related tasks as and when assigned.

Develop the Central Securities Depository (CSD) policy and procedures to meet NBE and market requirements that can also be bench-marked against international bets practice

Respond to queries from participant member Banks, Brokers, Stakeholders and other stakeholders

Monitor post trade activities and risk exposures of members investment portfolio

Keep management abreast of development in the financial sector

Oversees the issuance of securities and other certificates

Monitoring collateral positions of members and participants of CSD

Management of member information and security registration services

Develop and effectively execute communication strategy

Collections of fees and margins

Conduct extensive market research: study and investigate the industry trends and competition and advice management on good investment opportunities

Handle other related tasks as and when assigned

Excellent working knowledge of written and spoken English and Amharic
