Job Description:
The Motor and Engineering Company of Ethiopia (MOENCO) has a vacancy for the position of Marketing Officer. This role is part of the Marketing & Customer Experience Function, with responsibilities that include providing support in delivering customer experience excellence through the analysis of customer insights based on data from marketing campaigns, front line engagement and other feedback mechanisms. The aim is to achieve excellence in order to sustain the market leading position of our brands. The role also involves product/market assessment to evaluate our brand offerings in the eyes of the customer and identify opportunities to enhance our competitive advantage as input to business development projects. Effective engagement, negotiation, influence, and communication with relevant stakeholders is essential to proactively identify and optimize market opportunities and partnerships with various stakeholders including government, trade partners, OEMs, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies
- Support on market assessment in relation to product offering from trade partners
- Organize and attend marketing activities/events to raise brand awareness as well as developing and implementing a marketing program
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material for use in different channels and create and develop new innovative ways to communicate to target customers
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
- Closely follow industry and market trends, collect market data, analyze and provide insights for informed decision-making
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activity by analyzing the impact of marketing campaigns and prepare measurement reports.
Requirements:
- 1st degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering/Marketing/Management or in related fields
- 2 years related work experience in marketing and customer experience activities.
