Position 1 Job Vacancy: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordinator

World Vision Ethiopia is seeking to hire a full-time Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Coordinator for the East Program Hub in Hirna. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the design and implementation of all programs, monitoring and reporting activities, evaluations, accountability frameworks, and surveys and assessments. They will also network and collaborate with partners, undertake other relevant assignments, and support capacity building among AP MEAL officers, among other responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: At least 4 years of experience in MEAL
  • Education: University degree, preferably M.Sc in monitoring, reporting, and evaluation, or Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics, Sociology, and related fields
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Training in gender equality, MAEL framework, ODK or other MAE tools, and publication & developing story
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; experience in proposal development, budget preparation, and report writing; excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement: Working primarily in the EPH; semi-regular travel locally and internationally may be required

Position 2 Job Vacancy: Gender Officer-3

World Vision Ethiopia is seeking to hire a full-time Gender Officer-3 for the RESILIENT WE project in Oda Bultum. The successful candidate will work closely with government sector offices and thematic officers/specialists to mainstream gender issues into sectors, prepare detailed annual plans, undertake formative research, gap analysis and capacity building, design and implement gender-related checklists and toolkits, monitor and evaluate implementation, and participate in campaigns around gender action/awareness raising.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: At least 4 years of experience in Gender and related areas, program/project implementation
  • Education: BA or MA Degree in Gender, Social Work, Sociology, and relevant field of social sciences; training on child protection, GBV
  • Skills: Excellent analytical/problem-solving abilities; experience in monitoring and evaluation; ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team; strategic, creative, and innovative thinking; excellent communication skills; good command of oral and written English language; knowledge of the local language (Oromifa) is preferable
  • Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement: Working primarily in Oda Bultum; semi-regular travel locally may be required
