Key Roles and Responsibilities

•  Develop, implement and oversee an annual audit plan
•  Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control and risk management processes; recommend necessary changes
• Oversee and conduct financial, operational, administrative, and information technology audits
• Provide consulting and advisory services to maintain a quality assurance program
• Evaluate and assess significant new services, processes, operations, and controls.
• Liaise with the external auditors as appropriate, for the purpose of providing  optimal audit coverage for Ethiopost
• Carry out special audits and investigations as may be required
• Follow up on the implementation of external and internal audit recommendations
• Prepare comprehensive and timely standard audit reports for management decisions

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, or related business studies
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in finance and/or auditing of which 3+  years in a leadership position
• Thorough knowledge of international and national Financial Reporting Standards, auditing regulations and principles
•  Excellent organization, time management
• Initiative and self-drive for high-quality performance
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
