Position 1: Humanitarian Adviser
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Expertise in the health sector.
  • Minimum 5 years (preferably 8-10 years) experience in the health sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ethiopian healthcare sector at federal, regional, and local levels.
  • Team management experience.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Business English.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the global health architecture.
  • Experience with development agencies.
  • Post-graduate degree in public health or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in health systems development, with a focus on low and middle income countries.
  • Ability to contribute positively to the Human Capital Development Team and the Embassy’s initiatives, including supporting education and water sectors, promoting opportunities for women and girls, and participating in cross-cutting areas.
  • Salary: USD 2,118.83 – 3,178.25 per month

Position 2: Post Security Manager
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in security management in corporate, military/government sectors or relevant fields.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety work practices.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities:
The Post Security Manager (PSM) oversees the daily security and safety of the British Embassy and its staff in Ethiopia. This role also involves the day-to-day security of off-compound properties and staff. The PSM serves as the primary contact for security matters at the Embassy and, in the absence of the Regional Overseas Security Manager (ROSM), takes charge of all security-related issues. Duties include monitoring security, analyzing intelligence, and providing staff with appropriate advice.

Salary: USD 612 per month
