The following job positions are available at Abyssinia Bank:

Position 1: Driver

  • Education: Completion of 12th/10th grade; possession of Public I or Third level Driving License.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years driving experience. Banking industry experience is an advantage.
  • Place of work: Adama District, Modjo Branch.

Position 2: Banking Business Officer

  • Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Economics or other business related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years banking experience.
  • Job objective:
    • To attain customer requests and provide efficient and high-quality service.
  • Main duties and responsibilities:
    • Reconcile the branch book of accounts, check transactions, and archive documents.
    • Provide efficient and high-quality service, process bulk payments, and authenticate new account documents.
    • Deliver efficient and high-quality service to customers, handle their queries and complaints.
    • Maintain positive relationships with customers and staffs.
    • Enhance the bank’s image through proactive handling of customers and maximizing their satisfaction.
    • Countersign on documents and transaction tickets.
    • Comply strictly with regulatory standards, bank policies, procedure and code of conduct.
    • Perform tasks within the bank’s standards and timescales, adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls.
    • Work towards the achievements of teams and individual tasks.
    • Promote the bank’s products, services, and digital banking to customers.
    • Participate in resource mobilization activities.
  • Place of work: Dire Dawa District.

Position 3: Banking Operation Officer

  • Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Economics or other business related fields.
