Vision fund microfinance
is an institution founded under Proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to Ethiopia’s productive poor in rural and urban areas. VisionFund is currently active in four of the country’s regional states. VisionFund MFI is presently seeking individuals to fill the following batch recruitment positions for Drivers. The successful candidates will have the following qualifications and experience:
Position: Driver I
Job Requirements:
- Grade 10 Complete + 3rd Grade driving License & 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic rules.
- Basic knowledge of auto mechanic.
- Ability to conduct security checks and inspection on vehicles.
- Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
- Interpersonal skill.Terms of Employment: Permanent
Major Responsibilities:
Safety:
- To safely drive vehicles to transport personnel and good;
- Conducts vehicle security checks such as brakes, tires, lights, horn and other necessary accessories before driving vehicle;
- Places protection padding around goods and materials to prevent damage during transit.
Operation:
- Drives vehicle to transport personnel and goods to destination;
- Takes all preventive measures to ensure that passengers and property are not exposed to accident;
- Submits daily report on mileages covered, fuel consumption and other necessary details;
- Ensures the safety of accessories and tools;
- Reports road accidents to supervisor in timely bases / within 24 hours;
Maintenance
- Performs minor repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, spark plugs and fan belts.
- Washes, cleans and greases assigned vehicle;
- Follows up and arranges the service and maintenance of assigned vehicle;
